Miquella Jewellery Brand

We are loving Miquella, the statement jewellery is amazing, the cuffs are definitely a fav, after seeing Kelly Rowland wearing one of the rings we thought that Miquella definitely deserved a blog post. I hope you guys like it as well.
Check out the website www.Miquella.com
In February 2009 Miquella launched its debut collection of original and exciting Jewellery at London Fashion Week. It was snapped up by Harrods and since then has gone from strength to strength exhibiting in LondonParis and New York.
The jewellery is elegant yet edgy, Miquella’s latest collection includes a range of striking pieces from statement necklaces to elaborate cocktail rings, one of the rings being the worn by Kelly Rowland onX-factor, vintage inspired earrings to simple bracelets and festival-glam headbands.
Being a London-based company all Miquella Jewellery is created in the London studio by a young vibrant team of designers and Jewellery makers, combining influences from across the globe and key art movements with fashion trends. With a strong emphasis on hand crafts, intricate knotting and bead work, these techniques have become an integral part of the brand. Miquella uses materials ranging from fine Indian Silk to luxurious Nappa Leather and from Swarovski crystal to Onyx and semi precious stones. Fusing vivid colours the pieces are plated in Sterling Silver and 22 carat Gold intertwining unique cast components and chain to create a distinctive look.

The combination of contemporary style and traditional influence certainly makes Miquella a brand to watch out for.

Knitwear designer Craig Lawrence clelbrates his sixth season this year. Lawrence broadens his horizons this year, with his progressive innovative attitude towards knitwear he combines fabric panneling, print and embellishes with swarovski crystals creating a unique collection. The inspiraton behind the collection comes from photographer Martin Parr, particularly his images of the British seaside.

Lawrence uses metalic yarns in ivory and shell tones usiing lace-hole techniques creating filigree openwork surfaces and interwoven elastics to embrace the figure.

Collaborating with Patternity on tights, socks and shorts in rose gold, made print a first for Craig Lawrence.

LFW Day 2: Jasper Conran

Jasper Conran's collection was simple but beautiful. Floor length dresses, pleated midi skirts, mini skirts and 2 piece suits made from silks and wool in a monchrome palette with pieces in bold colours of pinks and reds. Feminine splits and cut out backs added a sexy feel. The clean lines and structured tailoring added to the simplicity making it effortless. The collection was easy and controlled. Boxy perspex clutches with hints of red gave the collection an edge making it modern and youthful.

LFW Day 1: PPQ

I have to say that PPQ was the highlight of the day, we didn't actually get to go in and watch the catwalk, as we got there to late and PPQ is always packed invite or not, so we watched the show from the cinema room.

There was so much going on with this collection "Heirloom Blues", there was denim on denim, pale pinks mixed with gold making a really feminine look, then there were thee cowgirls. It was so interesting to watch as there was so much variation within the collection. The hosiery collaboration with Bebaroque added the cherry on the cake spicing up the whole collection. We loved it!

Paul Costelloe SS12 LFW Day 1

This season of Paul Costelloe for women sees a range where his signatures blend with elements of 1960's parisian chic. The women's collection sees a strong feminine silhouette yet skater skirts and corseted waists give it a sexy edge. The neutral palette of cappuccino and flowing fabrics create such an elegant and easy collection. However the puff sleeves, high neck ruffle collars and accents of coral, pink and green take it from effortless to luxurious and understated glamour.

The Men's collection is a collaboration of the Edwardian era along with New Romantics and a nod to the seventies, through a neutral palette, along with indigos and highlights of coral, pink and green. Linen acts as a key character in emphasising the romanticism through its light weight nature and draping. Ruffles and pleats work as accents to the constructed tailoring along with either slim or large fluid trousers.

Paul costelloe man launches the Costelloe catwalk pop up at John Lewis, oxford street today where exclusive garments from the aw/11 collection are available for 2 weeks only.

LFW Day 1: Exhibition Una Burke

This collection really stood out to us in the exhibition, we loved the armour type body piece, especially the shoulders, its got a great edge and is just an extremely striking collection.

Bastet is Una Burke's SS12 Collection. The inspiration behind the collection comes from Ancient Egyptians, Una studied procedures used in mummification and looking at the reasons behind them to creating almost a modern armour collection out of leathers.

The idea of mummification was to protect and aid the soul in the passing through the afterlife and be reborn. The bodice piece is to protect the heart for example.

"Bastet" the name of this collection was an Egyptian Goddess who was regarded as the protector of Lower Egypt making it a great title for the collection.

Bebaroque Collaborates With PPQ

Bebaroque has designed a collection of hosiery and body suits for PPQ for Spring/Summer 2012. The collection will be shown at London Fashion Week at the PPQ show.
Inspiration for the collection came from vintage imagery, PPQ branded lettering and the Bebaroque Priscilla print, which have been carefully blended together as well as subtle hints of animal prints and embellishment  creating a colour popping unique range.

We cant wait to see this collaboration at LFW it sounds so exciting, Bebaroque is an amazing brand as well as PPQ so we are really excited to see the collection. We don't have any images of the collection yet, as that would spoil the surprise, but we've got some images of AW11 Bebaroque images to give you a taster of the brand.
